  • Miriam worked as a Program Manager for Broadway for Ataxia, a remotely delivered, expressive-arts community program for people with Ataxia. Through expressive arts Zoom-based classes rooted in principles of neurorehabilitation, Miriam managed program sessions aimed at cultivating joy, designed for people living with ataxia.

  • Miriam is a research collaborator with the MEND lab at OSU where she assists in the research and design of projects using dance to address symptoms of people with neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson's, Huntington's, and Alzheimers.

  • The National Jazz Museum in Harlem hosted Miriam as a guest scientist during their Zoom event “Music and the Brain,” which celebrated the relationship between jazz and science. Miriam joined pianist Helen Sung to discuss how music affects our brains and bodies.
